I was interested in the answers to this as we have a similar problem which I solve by not putting the washer/dryer all the way back and putting a rubber mat - one of those commercial ones you see in the entry way of stores underneath them.  It's rubber backed with a nap on the top - keeps everything in place and helps with the sound.


After looking at the kits in the link I'm wondering about the efficiency of a vent hose that goes up then down?  Wouldn't that take more force and cause lint to build up or back up?

The problem is that the hole in the wall is about an inch higher than the hole in the dryer.
