[DIY] Re: Black powder rifle

there are very few actual "black powder" guns out there anymore.
most of it is pryodex and it comes in pellets.
with the new guns, you really can't "overload them"
and if you do manage to do it, it just reduces the accuracy.
i've shot a colt 45 (largest caliber made before smokeless powder")
and intentionally overloaded it to the point where you could barely get the lead bullet in the cylinder. just made a bigger bang, and you couldn't hit anything 20ft away. "the faux "blackpower" guns are far more safe than reloading a modern cartridge. i've done both for 20+ years and which ever system i use, i make sure my "gun thinking" hat in on good.
but build a fool proof system and you can bet some fool with screw it up. that's usually why they print directions.

This can be tricky and unsafe if improperly done. Some kits have this already installed. The other tricky part is in inletting. This is fitting the wood to the metal parts. choose a kit that is 90+% inlet then the final work is minor chisel work, carving and sanding. An uninlet stock will take a massive amount of handwork and new tools. You might want to consider a pistol kit as it takes up less space and slightly less work.
