I have a problem with a retractable screen in a casement, crank out, window. The windows are maybe ten years old if that makes a difference.
The screen was in the down position and when you want it to roll up you normally just hold the bottom bar on it and give it a little pull and the channel along both edges snaps open to allow the screen to move all the way up. Well, one side does not pop open.
Any advice? Some years ago we had a little problem that seemed to fix itself but when I called the dealer they said the service call was something like $50. I'm hoping to avoid that. At least the cooler weather is coming so it's not an urgent issue. Any help would be appreciated.
