On 220v system, there is no neutral. Each lead is 120v hot to ground.

Just purchased a 115v 2 wire plus ground pump. 2 wires are black, one wire is green. I know the green wire is ground. Does it matter which one of the black wires is used for voltage and the other used as neutral. I am just making a plug in.
