(Sometimes) the wet mail is not the fault of the mailbox, but more the fault of a careless mail carrier. We have gotten soaked mail and then see the carrier walking in downpour with mail in their hand. (Sometimes) hard to fix stupid...; you know they know, just don't care...
- We had a carrier for 30-yrs that never delivered wet mail, he used the bag flap as designed, and sorted on a dry porch
