I use the plastic disks for moving even heavy stuff.  Little movers..  I used to have a little wedge thingy that was used for adjusting drywall.  Step on it to allow removal of disks.  I did it with a heavy heavy wooden desk.  Worked like a charm

It wont be a problem (oh sure) moving them into and across the room, but my concern is when we have to remove any padding or blanket from underneath so we can push the unit back against the wall.
