Joyce, an old trick to moving things without leaving tracks or scars is to use a cookie sheet under the legs. Once you get it close with the padded bottom, slide a no rim cookie sheet or piece of clean sheet metal, like aluminum flashing maybe?, under it bit by bit, then move the whole thing back in place.


I'd let the floors cure a bit longer than the manufacturers say though. If they say okay to move furniture in 24 hours, wait 48 and see if it scars with a fingernail first.
