If the 100a box is fed by a 20a breaker at house, it is OK w/ 12g. wire, otherwise, bypassing the 20a breaker at house w/b a code violation and a hazard. The breaker must match the wire size. You might also consider using GFCI receptacles at shed. Chicken water heater can probably be maybe only 100/ 200w(??), check your local farm supply for suggestions/ ideas, advise for your area.
