The AC unit is 15 years old. It's had maintenance a few times, the last time about 3 years ago.
I used a shop vac on the primary drain outlet and pullet out some muck. However, I think I want to try cleaning the drain at the unit.
The videos I saw on YouTube all had PVC. I don't see any PVC coming out of my unit but I am pretty sure that the metal pipe in the center of the attached photo is it. There is a top cap to it.
Assuming that is it, what's the best way to go about cleaning at that point? Shut off the AC breaker and thermostat, open up the top cap and shopvac? Or should I try blowing air INTO it or pouring Drano down it?
Thanks!
