Spray the entire area. It does not kill them. It repels them.

Update -- caught 1 little fellow after more than a day of the traps being out. No new signs of poop or food items being chewed/moved. So hopefully it was just that one guy.
Regarding the mint/garlic oil, where should I spread that? Just the perimeter of the house?
