This might be a no brainer, but I have to ask this. There is a 4" cast iron pipe coming up to the attic space, obviously for venting. Someone, I don't know who or what they were thinking, has a 2" PVC pipe running from it through the roof. Is this legal? I know with drainage it would be a no-no to go from 4" to 2", but we are talking about gasses, so it isn't quite the same thing.
Does anyone know FOR SURE?
