Take the dirt from the high area and put it in the lower  areas.  Half will be above the natural slope of the terrain and half below.  Build the frame  itself so it is level and use another board to scree it.

Good grief R... ask me how often I water my Christmas cactus NOT what the slope is lol lol

The frame boards are 2 x 6
In the far corner on the right there will be about 1 to 1 1/2 inches of the board sticking up out of the ground.

The corner on the bottom left has much more of a clearance. The brick holding up the 2x6 is about 4 inches

We wont have a problem filling in the area on the INSIDE of the frame but what do we do on the outside to the interior fill doesnt spill out under the 2x6?

We really dont want to haul in a load of dirt to pack around that outside corner if we can avoid it and that would be the best plan.
If we do that the  new soil/ grass would have to extend out into the existing yard quite a bit to avoid an abrupt steep slope

Joyce-

What is the slope numbers? 3:12 or?? hard to tellfrom your photo

If the slope is not "too bad" I would excavate at one end and move the dirt
to the other end until level even if the bricks and form are at ground level..
then use pressure treated framing at and in the ground...

We are planning to built a 12 x 12 gazebo with a brick floor.
My question is this:
There is quite a slope in the yard where this is going to sit.

What do you recommend to put where the slope is so much more?
We would like to avoid bringing a large amount of dirt to level out and reseed ... especially this time of the year.
