Well, today I will have my first experience with this kind of copper pipe repair. Three weeks ago a pipe froze in the attic of my rental unit, in the garage with no access. I cut a hole in the ceiling and got lucky with locating the leak above my first hole. but I really don't want to try to sweat new copper in to repair it, so I'm going to fix it with the push on SharkBite fittings. I'll leave my new access hole open for a while to keep an eye on it tho. Hope it's as simple as it looks. Ed
