Hello DIYers:
I'm moved two Rhododendron plant to a shadier spot, whammo our big (Linden) tree is trimmed and the Rhodies are shrivelling & brown again. They are on one side of an Arbor that gets the afternoon sun (which the Linden used to shade). I've tried holding a section of lattice there but it hits the arbor's 4x4 at a 45% angle to shade properly. That might be necessary, but it looks some awkward. And I think any plant there would hide the view of the Rhodie. Any ingenious ideas out there that might solve this problem? Rhodie roots are so shallow and overgrown it would be iffy to move them again.
Any suggestions appreciated.
Ally
