Hi Michael;

I am not sure why you would want to remove the door sill/threshold.
The door needs it in order to be weather tight. The sill should extend
beyond the edge of the concrete floor slab, overhanging slightly. Seal
underneath the sill by running multiple beads (3) of a quality sealant
(silicone based) before setting the door in place. As an alternative,
you could use a non-expanding type (window and door) spray foam
