Nancy, you might try one of those sprays they have now, worsk on plastic, outdoor equipment just about everything. They are flexible so won't crack. I used to have a liquid product that you brush on, gave things a rubbery feel - I know you can still buy it.. But there are numerous types of sprays in the craft store/walmart/Lowes etc and the auto stores that are made for just this type of thing. You could even change the color to match your car :) I feel like the country mouse when I go spend time in these stores, so many new products.
