I left for a few days and stupidly turned the water heater completely off. Just bought this house a month ago, and the water heater has been working flawlessly. When I got back, went to turn it on, and the pilot won't light.
It's a Reliance 606, old and ugly, but I'd rather not replace it…
First, I thought it was a worn-out igniter, but after I got my nose at the right angle, I could see a good strong spark. So apparently it's not getting gas to the spark. I did not turn the gas off at the line.
Websearch is not doing any good….
