I'm going to work on my oil furnace today. It was installed in 2002, Worked fine for a few years then refused to fire up. It would come on run a couple minutes, Then shut down. (safety)? Call the repair man they would tinker with it a little bit, It would run a couple weeks then do the same thing. After awhile we got tired of paying for this problem and just relied on the wood stove. This year we decided to once again try to get this furnace working. The service man has been here twice so far and the last time the furnace lasted two days. He says it's dirt in the nozzle. I read up on it on the internet and nozzle replacement seems simple enough, So I'm going to try and do it myself. Wish me luck !
