There has been warning of water from all the melted snow and rain, and it did indeed penetrate just as it usually would. I had been hoping our new downspout work had alleviated our problem. Clearly not the case, though one Area of overdue grading was improved. So my question is what should be our next step. We have a very old dirty sump that seems to work but does have to be kicked on occasion. 2 plumbers did not consider it needed replacing, nor did the basement dry specialist. Im wondering if newer sump or backup would limit water penetration.
