[DIY]Tried the-- Dowell Forming Jig.

Tried the jig and it works like a champ. Rather than removing the legs and mounting it, I will probably set it over a hole that is already in the bench for mounting a vise, and set or hang a bucket underneath to catch the dowels. I plan to do my dowels in 6 or 8 inch lengths and then cut them on the band saw to the length needed depending on the job. The only information on the box is, Tiawan, this one was purchased through www.highlandwoodworking.com which appears from their paper work to be in Atlanta, GA. Its kind of crazy because this item does not appear to be available in any of the other tool sites.

The tool arrived this morning and I'm anxious for it to warm up a bit so I can get out in the shop and give it a try.
The legs do unscrew so that it could bolted to a work bench. The little "Pencil Sharpener" attachment also unscrews,
and I think I'd be more inclined to use a disc sander for that purpose anyway.
