Here's one resource that sells to DIY
http://www.rhhfoamsystems.com/
I've got pricing from my local dist and what it boils down to is how many SQFt you plan to spray.
For a whole house, covering exterior walls, and possibly the roof, I wouldn't do it myself because a SPF contractor has way better cost on the materials than a DIY could source from any outlet.
The DIY kits come with a few nozzles, and disposable tanks for 1, to 50cubic feet. But a contractor's rig can shoot way more than I can and he's out of my hair at the end of the day, so its worth going that route for the whole house.
But if you were doing an addition, or converting a small garage or basement into a studio, then the equation is upside down for a contractor. They won't bring their rig to spray just a couple of hundred SQFt, there isn't enough money in small jobs for them.
So, that's where it makes sense to buy the kits and do it yourself.
Lastly,
someone else had a good tip who mentioned not to rush too quickly, because there are several other alternatives to ccSPF to achieve an air-tight and good R value around your house.
I have a very good article on this which I'll upload on a separate post when I have more time later.
