My solution for cleaning paint rollers is to first strip as much of the pain as possible out of the roller using a 5in1 painting tool.
That is what the half circle cut-out is for. then I head for the kitchen or bath room sink and give the roller a good rinse after which I use the 5 in 1 again, next I pour a liberal amount of dish detergent along the roller and work it into the nap repeating until I feel all or most of the paint is out. next I give it several rinse cycles and then take it outside and as mentioned below give it a good spin with the hose followed by another high speed spin with the air hose. By then the roller is cleaned, dried and fluffed and I am properly covered with speckles which was the intent of the whole exercise in the first place, but by gum that roller is properly cleaned and fluffed.

It's really up to you if you don't want to use it. Many people find it helpful.
If there's a way to make rollers easy to keep clean ( without chemical thinners) someone could make money with that invention.

Subject: [DIY] Paint tray liner
What fresh hell is this? My newest roller tray came with a liner. What is that supposed to do? I can get the tray clean. It's the roller that drives me nuts. Why would I bother with thus liner?Google Jers Tablet
