I only buy disposable roller covers. They are cheap, and when I finish painting, I throw them out. If you want to save one to finish the job the next day. wrap it in plastic, or, better yet, wrap it in newspaper, so it can be immersed in water. You can even put different colours in the same bucket of water, and the newspaper will keep colours from mixing.
