A few other possibilities One time, my condenser fan motor went bad and was running slow/ half speed. I would not have known it, had I not rounded the corner just before the motor changed from fast to slow (on a 1-speed motor). A bad/ slow condenser fan makes the compressor head pressure and amps rise, sometimes above trip range; I have also had them blow a fusible link wire at the contactor. and capacitors can also short out
