Test.#A: leave door unlatched/ cracked open: 1. If this helps, cut 1/2" off bottom of door for air return, This will add ~16 Sq.In. of return 2. Check return for proper size/ connection/ flow;
Test #B: Laser thermometer in garage and look for cold spots/ areas; 3. Remove sheet rock from problem area, inspect/ repair problem (usually outside wall areas) , repair sheet rock. This garage issue was the most common problem that "Holmes on Homes" tv show used to find, along with duct problems.
