The forced air system is gas furnaces. Separate systems per floor of the house, and each floor has two return air flow registers. Downstairs they are quite far apart. Upstairs there is a return in the game room which is in the middle of the house with two bedrooms on either side. The master bedroom also has a return air register, supposedly so the parents can close the doors at night. But closing the doors drops the temperature an additional four degrees.
