also if your water heater was overheating, the pressure relief valve would blow to prevent the heater from
exploding.  Pretty darn noticeable so I doubt that's the problem.

winter heating from electric baseboard heaters?....If so one of the units

could have a bad thermostat......If your water heater is "running away"

the water would be so hot you would be unable to use it.....Pumps
