I am building a retaining wall for our garden. To make the wall, I want to use car tires turn them inside out. I have cut off the sidewall on one side and turned about 10 of the 30 I need to turn inside out so they look like a planter and not a tire. Here is a link.
I thought I could use a crow bar and attach a hook of some sort to it so I could put the hook on the outer side and twist it inside out. I had an old piece of metal and tried it and it almost worked. The problem is that the hook part has to be parallel with the shaft of the crowbar and not flared out like on a crowbar. The hook part needs to be at least 6 " in length and only a couple inches or so between the hook and the crowbar. Does anyone have an idea on how to make such a tool or buy a fairly cheap one like it without welding ?
Thanks,
GB
