Re: [DIY] vinyl fencing #2

Thanks!!  Good idea, easy to use some chain with the tractor, and a little leverage.  Looks like they dug a hole, stuck the post in and poured concrete around it, no rocks or anything to brace it in, which is why we are having problems with some wobbling.  I accidentally broke off a piece of vinyl on the cross piece of the gate a bit ago and there is wood under it.  I wonder if these 4x4 posts are wood with vinyl around them?  I assumed they were hollow, may have to do some experimenting.  But now I remember our mailbox post is a 4x4 with a black plastic sleeve slid down over it to match the mailbox.  Looks like a steel pole but just plastic.

Pull them, if they were put in right, they would have been filled with concrete at the bottom and very difficult to cut.  They can be pulled with a small high tinsel chain and a high lift jack or with a chain and an old
 16 in tire rim.

They show using a rope but I prefer a small log chain and half hitches.
