Re: [DIY] Missing piece for hanging light??

That fixture was originally hung from a knob and tube bar or so it appears.  I would open the top link by twisting and mis-aligning the ends, and take the removed connection link with me to make sure I found what I needed.

Bought some older light fixtures at Habitat yesterday which will be perfect in our barn.  This particular one has the wire(s) but not the "plate" that attaches to the ceiling.  I'm sure you can buy the part if I knew what to ask for.  I assume the threaded piece at the top of the chain screws into a "box" that attaches to the ceiling??  We are putting it where we removed one of the original chandeliers, so the wires are still in the ceiling.  I think we just need the connecting piece to make this one work ??
