Thanks everyone. I'm aware Lowes uses independent contractors, in fact the guys who installed all the windows were from Lowes. They went out on their own, installed our double doors, but are now so busy they can't get to this till September. Living where we do it's hard to find anyone who will come out for a fairly small job, and no one wants to drive out to give an estimate. I thought at least Lowes would stand behind the work, hopefully. Someone is coming out this next week so will see what he says. The work itself isn't hard if you're used to installing doors, the guy who put our storm door on in town took about 15 minutes, and we paid the $95:) The framing is already there, just needs some 2x4's to bring it to correct size, and both doors are pre-hung. Doubt we'd need to put another header in, but I don't know enough to know:)
