Hi Tori;
Almost all deck wood from before 2004 will be
CCA treated (copper chromium arsenate). Though
CCA treated wood will be fine to walk on, and
is still used for pole barns, fence posts, and
wood foundations, and would also be fine for a
flower garden, you probably do not want it in
contact with the soil of your vegetable garden.
