Since windshield are now figured in as a structure part of the car, the
adhesive that is used comes in caulking tubes and you could probably get
some at a windshield repair place, but you would have to remove the window
and reseal it to get it under the glass, the weather-stripping now a days is
not for stopping water or weather but merely to hide the adhesive and the
edge of the glass. You might try forcing some clear silicone into the area
that is leaking, good luck with that, I would stop by a windshield
replacement shop and ask them what they think should done.

Subject: [DIY] Windshield leaking
My windshield leaks near the rear view mirror. My mechanic said there is
some sort of adhesive specially made for adhering windshields. Does anyone
know where to get it and also exactly how to do it? My mechanic said it is
more of a body work thing and he does not do it. The car part place does
not sell it.
Thanks,
GB
