[DIY] Exterior Dutch Doors

I love dutch doors, always have.  We have one, original to the barn, in what we call the foyer - it actually opens to the south courtyard. I love it, big, heavy plank double door 39" wide - matches the other stall doors.   I really want to keep this door instead of installing a normal exterior door.   These double doors open out, and can be locked open.  I love the light it provides and we need the cross ventilation.  Is it feasible to install a regular storm door on an inside frame, opening to the inside?  Would that have to be special ordered?  We planned to make a screen door to fit,  opening to the inside, and purchase some type of weatherstripping to keep the wind out but that would mean we'd need to keep the door shut most of the winter when we could really use the light on that side.

Also, the storm door we had installed town was nice, not too expensive and we paid for installation.  However, living out here installation costs as much as the products — are these hard to install ourselves?  If they are pre hung would it be too much to install a "frame" to fit the door measurements on the inside?
