Does your unit have a "BUCKET FULL" shut-off switch?
My Frigidaire model FDL50S1 has been in service since July of 2004
During the first week of service I was playing with the mechanism
which automatically shuts down the unit when the bucket is full.
I managed to push the cut-off switch out of place, and the unit stopped working.
It was quite a job to get to the switch in order to seat it properly, but once done, it has worked flawlessly since then.
Of course, I no longer put my hands where they don't belong, but I have always been curious about how things work.
