Mimeo was not a copier it was the cheap version of an offset press, you had
to have a master. Mimeo is also not archival quality, it fades out
completely over time. Most xerographic copies are archival quality, meaning
that they will not fade out.
BTW there is NO Z in XEROX.

I do not remember about the stability of the copies as I was a mere 8 to 10
year old kid and am now 60. I am sure it was not of today's quality.
Here is an interesting link to history of coping machines. I had totally
forgotten the term "Mimeograph", but that is what they were called before
the new "kid on the block" called "Zerox".
