Motion sensors usually detect a change in infrared energy. The light generally has a lens to focus the light on a sensor. I don't know if your Zenith has a separate photodetector lens. If so, you might try placing a piece of duct tape across the motion sensing lens to mask the light from the IR detector.
Hi...looked at the Manual, but did not see that option. There's a number for Support, so may want to call and ask if it's possible. Again, they say it's not a repairable, so doubt you can modify it.
Motion detection uses infra red, so blocking it would work. Not sure what your budget is, but look here:
