I do not remember about the stability of the copies as I was a mere 8 to 10 year old kid and am now 60. I am sure it was not of today's quality.
Here is an interesting link to history of coping machines. I had totally forgotten the term "Mimeograph", but that is what they were called before the new "kid on the block" called "Zerox".
