I went the route Dale went and soon found out that my costs keep increasing and the dog seemed to be a lot of work. Turned that project over to the wife and now I'm putting in cameras.

Many systems, camera's and PVR combined, that you can buy are simply plug and play and come with everything you need. BTW you should look for CCD type cameras. I learned one clever tip from my neighbor and that's to mount the cameras in a inconspicuous place. I realize some criminals aren't real smart but burglars with masks ripping out your cameras do you no good.

I also plan on installing one camera indoors to catch anyone who takes off their ski mask thinking they are in the clear while they eat my cheese and drink my beer. That's a gottcha!
