[DIY] Re: septic treatment system

 

A septic system doesn't need any additives at all. The bacteria added to the system with normal use is ALL that it needs to operate properly. The only thing you have to do, or not do, is don't abuse the system with lots of garbage disposal use, and if possible, route the used washing machine water to somewhere else. You can get away with using the septic tank for it, mine went 15 years without pumping or adding anything like rid-x (a rip off product according to 2 different septic tank pros that I've talked to over the years. Yeast is cheap, go ahead and use it if it makes you feel better, but you don't need it. Ed
