don't want to start a controversy, but in MY exerience (I'm from a family of plumbers now stretching 3 generations) there is a difference in the quality (same name brands) that you get from a big box store, and you will get from a plumbing supply house. the plumbing supply house does have better quality fixtures. some items look identical but its the internal parts that are better quality.
having said that, my bathroom fixtures came out of Lowes.

We replaced faucets a few years ago and I'm not too crazy about the ones
we bought at HD...and they were not the cheapest ones on the shelves.
