[DIY] Eliminating Ceiling Fan Remote Control

 

Hi Everyone,

I need to replace a ceiling fan and would like to replace it with one that is not remote controlled.

However, all the fans that I like are equipped with remote control, and I believe most if not all use modular type receivers.

I think it should be possible to eliminate the receiver and control the fan through a wall mounted fan control switch.

I believe this should be quite simple to do but would like to hear from anyone who has done this and did you encounter any problems?
