There's a fly in the ointment then, perhaps.
You "cannot" and do not want... to "bury" a junction or junction box
where it is hidden, behind a wall or in a floor. I'd need pics or a
sketch
to suggest then, possible ways to locate a sub-box for these
connections,
but mebe you've enough of as hint, now. If you knew where a wall was
to be in the attic, that would help you locate the box. You need to be
able to access the joints, forever. It can be flush to a wall when
completed
(or surface mount, but no romex can be exposed...and this is ugly and
romex often enters from the sides,) or in a closet, as long as you can
unscrew a panel to get to wire connections. "Code," but safety in this
case.
Also add ph & coax & mebe Cat5e at this time. THESE I like to "homerun"
to a garage or closet metal box. Lumitron sells 14x14 & 14x28" that fit
between studs. optional AC modules, TV, ph, etc.
