After looking at the discoloration for a day or two I thought maybe I could try the Capture rug cleaner again. I don't know if you are familiar with it, but it consists of a liquid that you spray on the stain, then a white powder that you sprinkle on the stain, then you scrub it and in a half hour vacuum it. Well the white powder has pretty much covered up the discoloration even after vacuuming. I can live with the results.
