Re: [DIY] Best way to remove discoloration from carpet?

Joyce - I'm glad you're ok with the result. I which case maybe
you'll be smart enough, not to TRY this... LOL! But what about
hydrogen peroxide? The carpet is sorta white. HP is a sorta
bleach, an oxidizer. Try a hidden corner 1st!!!

Now, it's 3% and a lotta liquid to harm the floor, under, if there's
no modern day moisture barrier. Go to a hair salon, supplier.
Do not get CREAM - Get liquid developer. you'll see it say 20
or 30 or 40. It's hyper strength, compared to mere 3%...
(Did I mention this stuff already? So busy, I go as lil nuts.)

Dilute with water to 3-5% if you use it on yourself! Sure is
portable for camping, however. In a 1 oz travel shampoo bottle,
you effectively have a pint. I sent 1 with my son for a birthday
trip I sent him on. I sent him to Katrina w/ the Red Cross! LOL!
He liked helping, and extended.

ANYWAY, they make small wet-dry shop-vacs, (even 1 that's a
lid/motor & you supply the 5 gal bucket, ~$@20.) Use this to
remove the hydrogen peroxide, after mebe 1/2 hr. Mebe 1
water-rinse, too.

Aside: Dunno what part you liked Bob, The Husky Pres Washer,
their knives, or the window washer paint-pole, but thx. ;>)
Sometimes, even a plainly BAD idea, can generate a good
one in someone else. Lil brain-storming never hurt.
I liked the gal with the survival purse...! ;>))) <BWG!>
After my own heart...!
