A suspended platform for the clock. Four guy wires come dowm from the ceiling to support a shelf, which is free to swing. Thus, as the house vibrates the shelf will not. I have used such a mechanism to transport up to seven full cups of coffee at one time, without breakind a ripple in the surface of the beverage.

I have an heirloom cuckoo clock that has been fine-tuned by a master at fixing clocks. The clock works very well now, except for 1 thing--we live about a block from a train track, which is used about every 1/2 hour. This constant motion interferes with the timing mechanism, so no matter how often we reset the time, within a few hours, the time is incorrect. Any idea as to how we can correct this?
