how about taking a junk piece of drywall and painting with the primer and then the paint. See how it looks. It'll
give you an idea of what the wall will look like. Make sure you look at it from both natural and artificial light.
And, some primers are pink only when they're wet. That's just so it's easy to see where you've painted. Are you
sure it's actually pink when it dries?

The red tint used in paint has a tendency to "bleed" through a top coat,
BUT if the gray is "gray enough" you just may get away with it.....Are you
doing an entire room or just a wall or two?.....Pumps
