Any weight placed on a floor will cause some compression. This can be minimized, almost, eliminated, by using furniture glides.

Please don't tell me it stays there. What I want to know is: will furniture that "stays there" make marks on the laminate, meaning if it stays there and it's heavy, like a wall unit, will it make indentations on the laminate, the same way furniture leaves indentations on carpeting?
