I am surprised that this forum does not have anyone that could tell how to mix lime and sand? I believe the tech schools teach the masonry students how to lay brick and block, when done the wall can be knocked down and the "cement" can be easily knocked off to use the bricks and blocks over. hope this might help you jeff

Interesting that you mention re-bar. My original thought was to lay them out normally stacjed and then stick pieces of PVC through the holes thinking it would be fairly cheap.
I tried it out on a few bricks last night to check for fit. First off the bricks actually have 3 holes (not 2 like I originally thought). I think it was 1/2" pvc that fit best. The problem was that there wasn't enough wiggle room (shifting side to side) to squeeze the bricks together properly. I would have to place 1/4 shims in between each brick to seal it up right.

They can be used to edge flower beds. To stack without mortar, use re-bar to hold the bricks together.
