All: I have a fifty year old Maple in my front yard - Relatively healthy. Probably about ten years ago a large branch was cut off. It would have been the closest limb to the ground, about six feet up and the scar(limb stump)is about 18" in diameter - It was a big branch. It has been healing sort-of over the years. I found carpenter ants in the scar. I was able to kill them with Tempo.
It there a "Cement" that I can put over the scar and over the tunnels that the carpenter ants made that will seal the scar and protect it from further encroachment from the carpenter ants and the weather and help it to continue to heal?
Thanks ... Ron
